The St Michel coffee roasting house in Antwerp has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1880. The first establishment was located in the shadow of St. Michel's Church in Antwerp, which also explains our company name.
Our coffee soon became famous all over the world. For example, Pope John Paul II was very charmed when he discovered our coffee during his visit to Belgium. He immediately placed a large order for the Vatican. He was not the only dignitary who was fond of our coffee.
Prince Charles of Flanders, regent from 1944 to 1950, was also one of our regular customers.
St Michel in Antwerp is known for its punctual deliveries and prompt service. Thanks to our unique location in the port of Antwerp, our delivery vans with coffee will be with you quickly. We owe this fast service to a completely robotised production process. In this way, we can fully adapt the production to your demand and you can easily get your order delivered to your company or organisation. What's more, everything is traceable and we know exactly which cargo goes to which customer. From coffee bean to cup of coffee, with our computer-controlled machines this process has never been so fast. You can always reach us by phone or via our website. This way, you never have to run out of coffee!
We like to help make the world a better place. We do this by running our entire roasting process 100% on green electricity. With the help of solar panels we produce even more energy than we need. Enjoy our delicious coffee and support the environment!
Fair trade is also very important to us. For example, we work together with various labels such as Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance and UTZ.
